Research Coordinator
Meldon Ansah-koi Agyarkwa is a dedicated scientist with extensive experience in research, cross-functional collaboration, and policy advocacy. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Ghana and an MSc in Environmental Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Meldon currently serves as an Assistant Programme Officer with the Environmental Protection Agency of Ghana, where he contributes to research that informs environmental policies on both local and global levels.
His expertise encompasses water resource management, climate change, renewable energy, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). As a published co-author of three papers in high-impact journals, he demonstrates a strong commitment to teamwork, leadership, and advancing impactful research. Meldon is skilled in applying scientific knowledge to address complex environmental challenges and plays a key role in major environmental initiatives.
A notable career achievement includes his participation in the 2023 UN Water Conference in New York, where he presented findings from transformative environmental research conducted in Ghana in collaboration with UN-Habitat. This experience has further equipped him to shape plans, guidelines, and regulations that promote environmental sustainability in Ghana and beyond.
