Sandra Serwaa Kyere is a distinguished environmental advocate and leader in Ghana, with a focus on water, sanitation, and climate change. She is the Founder of Women in Water Sanitation and Climate Change, Ghana, and an active member of the Global Water Operators Partnership Alliance (GWOPA). Sandra also holds leadership positions in various environmental organizations, such as the Vice Chairman of the Public Services Workers Union of the Environmental Protection Agency, Ghana, where she is responsible for staff welfare.
With a strong track record of global involvement, Sandra has participated in numerous high-level international programs. In 2023, she attended the UN Water Conference in New York, a workshop on Water Quality Monitoring in Petten, Netherlands, and a capacity-building program on Human Rights and the Environment in Geneva, Switzerland. Her global experience has honed her skills in community development and environmental management in Ghana.
Sandra’s expertise spans several areas, including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Nature-based Solutions, Petroleum Management, and Sustainable Development through Natural Resources. Her academic credentials include an MSc in Project Management from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, a BA in Economics and Linguistics from the University of Ghana, and various certifications in environmental planning, petroleum management, and human rights. Through these experiences, Sandra has played a significant role in shaping policies and regulations to promote sustainable environmental practices in Ghana.
