๐ŸŒฑ Sowing Seeds, Harvesting Change! ๐ŸŒ

As part of our World Environment Day 2025 activities, WOMEN IN WATER SANITATION AND CLIMATE CHANGE (WWSCC), in collaboration with our partners, organized a ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ ๐—ฃ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ข๐—ฟ๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด project at Accra High School.

๐Ÿ“Œ Three months on, our Executive Director, sandra Serwaa kyere visited the school to assess progress, and the results are inspiring! The garden is thriving, crops are being harvested, and the spirit of sustainability is alive among the students.

During her visit, Sandra engaged with the schoolโ€™s Environmental Club manager, who shared exciting updates:
๐ŸŒฟ Building on WWSCCโ€™s efforts, the school has launched an Agri-Business & Environmental Club, led by students to expand the farm and build their capacity.
๐Ÿฅฌ In addition to okro, pepper, and lettuce, students have now introduced ๐œ๐š๐›๐›๐š๐ ๐ž cultivation.
๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŒพ Many students have developed a strong interest in farming, even requesting seedlings to replicate the project at home.

This initiative is more than a garden, itโ€™s a platform for climate resilience, sustainable food systems, and youth empowerment.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our committed partners:

๐Ÿ’š Together, we are nurturing the next generation of environmental leaders, one seed, one student, one garden at a time.
